So I got scammed last week by a website claiming to sell mangoes online. I got an ad on my youtube homepage which took me to this bogus website.
I lost around 1000 INR, but I’m not really mad about loosing the money as it’s not a big amount. What I’m mad about is how openly these guys are scamming people. I mean, they are running Google ads for their scam and google is actually promoting it!
The payment gateways (Paytm and PayU) clearly failed to distinguish legitimate businesses from scams which is why they have integrated with this scam website and helping the scammers in accepting payments from the victims. UNBELIEVABLE!
You can report the website to these authorities:
1. GoDaddy (domain registrar) (Link: https://in.godaddy.com/help/reporting-abuse-27154)
2. Hostinger (hosting provider) (Link: https://www.hostinger.in/report-abuse)
3. Google Ads (they are running google ads for this scam) (Link: https://support.google.com/legal/contact/TM_CF_Shopping?product=productsearch)
